“Biker Momma”

Tonight’s snack was bananas with honey and milk in our bedroom and a nice glass of cold milk and a small plate of pink iced cookies with sprinkles for the Faery Room.

she soared into the room from the direction of the door and cruised the air space above the bed. It was but a single moment before her broom struck the shadows on the wall and imbedded butt first into the now torn sheetrock. I had seen this figure before but this time her entrance was more flamboyant and she had a new finish to the skit. After straightening her pointed hat, she soon stood along side the broomstick where she tugged at the wooden spike until it popped from its secure connection in the wall. Like magic, the hole disappeared and she was quick to straddle her ride, kicking downwards with her right leg. I laughed aloud but remain cautious, as this was a kick that only a “Biker Momma” might deliver. I could tell the broom handle had began to rev and this witch traded her black cape and pointed boots for a leather duster and pants complete with chaps and chrome knuckle studded gloves. The saddle bags hung low on what was now a twelve foot chopper with a 12” gooseneck and completed with a 2” rake and 30-over wide glide. She straddled the 96ci S&S engine and kicked once more before exhaust bellowed from the chrome pipes. Pulling back on the handlebars, she had shifted enough of her slim physic to the back portion of the seat to pull a wheelie as she sped off into the night.

twelve, one inch sized clowns rained from the ceiling to land safely on the white walls nearest the bathroom. Appearing first was the court jester, complete with hat, jester tunic, collar and the edge of a waist sash. After waving to me with gloved hands, he began the parade of his constituents. The next figure to come into my vision was adorned in a clown hat with a ball tassel, ruffled brim and geometric print jumpsuit. The happy parade continued as the next clown had a huge rounded nose and circles on his face paint for eyes. The fourth entertainer was a full body image wearing a jumpsuit decorated with stars and half moons, pants and bow tie with matching hat. Yet another materialized with poka dotted hat, ball tassel, and ruffled collar. When it was all said and done twenty images of extra, large whimsical clowns had participated in the costume pageant.
